I am not sure how he has over a 4 star review. He started my case out well, staff was great. But when it came to court, he absolutely lost it!! Would not listen to me, got ran over and backed up on. He lost my case to a drug addicted, DUI, jailbird with zero legal help. I should have stood up and fired him in court and asked for...

He lost my case to a drug addicted, DUI, jailbird with zero legal help. I should have stood up and fired him in court and asked for a continuation. But I couldn’t, because he used them all up!!!
If your loved ones mean something to you, I would advise you, in my opinion, go someplace else!

I did not get to hire Mr. Kontos, however speaking with him & receiving him as a referral source & subsequent referrals from him I could assess him to be a kind and professional attorney in family law. He was direct and straightforward and had my best interest even though we had not entered into a client/attorney relationship. The reviews pertaining to his skills as a calm communicator are accurate....

On a cold call he spoke to me on the phone for more than 6.5 hours, telling me that he would represent me and going through my entire case file with me and the history of my entire conflict. He assured me that the next day we would sign a contract, pay the retainer and begin work. I woke up to find a rejection email from him on the basis that even though he believed me, and money wasn't an issue, he has "too much secondary trauma" watching clients get chewed up by a corrupt system and he didn't want to watch it happen to me.
Imagine a paramedic arriving at a car accident and saying "I am tired of watching people die" And then getting in the ambulance and driving away. If David truly has this level of secondary trauma then he needs to retire.
